International Food Festival

The PTA every year organise the International Food Festival.  Over the years they have been very inclusive of our International students joining in the fun and giving them an opportunity to showcase their own countries.  This year the stalls included Thai, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, German, Brazilian, Indian and Chilean stalls.  Walking around you saw many beautiful clothing from the Korean hanbok to the Indian saree, the Japanese kimono to the Chinese ruqun and the Thai Ruean Ton to the lone German lederhosen.  The students from the International Department come here and learn some great skills from communicating together, preparation and cooking skills.  This is definitely a way to show off where the students come from, to people (some of whom may never see these countries).
To the Amazing PTA, thank you for always involving our students, getting them organised and letting them join in the fun - the students and our International Department appreciate it.

Horse of the Year Competition - Tyler Bumby

Last week, Tyler Bumby (Year 12) gained first place in the mounted games under 17- pairs - B final at Horse of the Year.  She has also been selected to represent New Zealand at the Mounted Games Teams Five Nations competition in Kentucky this July.  Congratulations Tyler.

Junior Oceania Championships - Jade Stafford

At the Junior Oceania Championships in the Junior Mens division on Sunday, Jade Stafford (Year 12) finished 16th over all. He was the 7th kiwi and 3rd sixteen year old to finish. It is quite achievement to finish in the top 20 at this level.  Congratulations Jade.
