THE OTUMOETAI COLLEGE PTA
(Parent Teachers Association)
‘Embracing the Spirit of our Community’

The College is fortunate in having a hard working and enthusiastic PTA. The PTA provides an opportunity for Parents to strengthen contacts as well as learning more about the College and how it operates. Meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month (not during school holidays) at 7:30pm in the College staffroom. Business is conducted in a friendly, semi-formal format with an emphasis on information about what is happening at the College as well as planning for upcoming events when appropriate. ‘Pot Luck’ dinners twice a year also provide an opportunity for members and spouses to get together.

The PTA has over several years also raised a considerable amount of money for use by the College through the International Food festival (March) and the biannual Bookarama (August). Both of these events have become well known community occasions and the proceeds from them have directly benefited thousands of students. PTA members have also provided welcome cups of tea for teachers during report evenings.

We are always appreciative of Parents who wish to join the PTA.
