Message from Russell Gordon re: When we move into Alert Level 3

Message from the Principal emailed to all Parents / Family / Whanau on 25 August 2021

Dear Parents / Family / Whānau

In the event that Tauranga moves to Alert Level 3 at some stage next week, Ōtūmoetai College will be open to receiving some of our Year 9 and 10 students. Ministry advice we currently have under Alert Level 3 is that young people should continue to learn from home, but schools will be open for those students whose parents or carers need to go to work. During Alert Level 3, Years 11, 12 and 13 students will continue to engage with their distance learning from home.

To the parents / family / whānau of our Year 9 and 10 students, please email principalspa@otc.school.nz if your child WILL ATTEND SCHOOL DURING ALERT LEVEL 3. Please reply with your child’s name and form class BY FRIDAY 27 AUGUST AT 5.00PM. This will help to inform our planning so that we can keep our students and staff safe.

If your Year 9 or 10 child will be remaining at home please do not respond to this message.

We have been here before and I have faith that our Ōtūmoetai College community will get through this again!
