Academic Mentoring Information

Dear Whanau, Parents and Caregivers,

We would like to introduce ourselves as the Mentoring Committee leaders for 2024.

Our committee’s role is to support students who would like assistance with their learning. We tutor across all subjects, with the help of our senior mentors.

The mentoring will be done using an appointment-based system, meaning students can be tutored at a time that suits them (before school, lunch, or after school). Students can also choose to be tutored individually or in groups.

To book an appointment, email mentoring@otc.school.nz with the subject, form class, availability, and grade the student wants to achieve.

If you have any queries, please feel free to contact us using the email above.

Best Regards,

Charlie Minshall, Charles Anderson, Beatrice Proverbs, Reuben Lightfoot & Phillipa Woodward (Deputy Principal)

Pink Shirt Day

“Today, we are observing Pink Shirt Day, a special day dedicated to raising awareness about bullying. By wearing pink, we’re coming together to show that we stand against bullying and support a kinder, more inclusive environment.

Let’s use today as an opportunity to reflect on our actions and how we can contribute to making our school a safer and more welcoming place for everyone. Remember, kindness starts with us!”
