Cape to Cape

In late November Otumoetai College student William Dunn, and Tauranga Boys College’s Thomas Winter and Olly Dow will start their 3 week human-powered journey across the widest part of New Zealand, East Cape to Cape Egmont, a route of over 800km. They will be the first people to complete the route planned.

The boys want to make a difference in their community while embarking on this ambitious challenge so they are fundraising for the Child Cancer Foundation. If you’d like to donate visit – www.givealittle.co.nz/fundraiser/capetocape

They are also searching for sponsors to cover the costs of their trip so they can give 100% of donations to the Child Cancer Foundation. Visit www.capetocape.nz to become a sponsor.

FINALISTS in a Grant Program but We Need Your Vote!
Kia Ora Ōtūmoetai Whānau,

Big news alert!

We’re thrilled to announce that we’re FINALISTS in a grant program that could totally transform our basketball game! Thanks to the generosity of Tauranga City Basketball Association, we’ve got this awesome hoop, but now we need YOUR help to make our court dreams a reality!

Imagine shooting hoops on a smooth, even surface, with nothing holding you back! That’s what’s at stake here. We’re talking about turning our uneven court into a slam dunk paradise! But here’s the deal: we need YOUR VOTES to make it happen!

So, are you ready to help us? It’s simple: just hit the link in our below and cast your vote for us! Every vote counts, and with your support, we can show everyone why our community deserves this upgrade. Let’s do this, team!

Voting Period:
Local Legends voting is set to run from the 17th of June to the 14th of July 2024.
How To Vote:
During the voting period there are two methods our wondering community and public can use to cast their vote for our school project we want to use the Local Legends grant.
  1. Anyone can submit one vote per day via the Tauranga Crossing website (https://www.taurangacrossing.co.nz/local-legends-cast-your-vote/)
  2. By validating a receipt, at our Information Desk, from any Tauranga Crossing retailer (excluding banks) customers will receive 3 bonus vote tokens.
