London International Youth Science Forum

One of our Year 13 students, Rosa Sharp (pictured above right), was selected to attend a two-week residential event hosted by the London International Youth Science Forum (LIYSF) from 23 July – 6 August 2025.

LIYSF strive to empower young people from all backgrounds to pursue their potential in STEM education (science, technology, engineering and mathematics). She is one of 500 of the world’s leading young scientists aged 16 – 21 selected from more than 80 participating countries.

The event is held at Imperial College London and The Royal Geographical Society – with day visits out to other leading UK research centres and Universities, including Oxford and Cambridge Universities.

Rosa will also attend four specialist lecture sessions, across subjects such as Artificial Intelligence, Medicine, Nano-technology, Biology, Engineering, Robotics, Chemistry, Maths, Physics and Astrophysics.

BLAKE Inspire Programme

This is a leadership program that may be of interest to young leaders who have a passion for the environment.

About Blake Inspire: In 2024 we welcomed another 140 passionate, young environmental leaders to join us for our BLAKE Inspire programmes.

BLAKE Inspire is a week-long residential leadership development programme in partnership with the Ministry for the Environment and in 2025 we will run four programmes (of up to 35 students per programme):

  • 13 – 17 April in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland
  • 7 – 11 July in Waikato
  • 22 – 26 September in Waikato
  • 1 – 5 December in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland
