ŌTC Sports Fundraiser

Thank you to all those who supported our Sports Fundraiser last Friday night and enjoyed listening to Joe Schmidt!

It was a very successful night and will help us support our sporty tamarki.

Also a special mention to three of our Sports Leaders (Grace Duncan, Erin Wylie and Bradley Wiessing) who represented our school really well on the night!

Secondary Schools North Island Athletics Championships

Well done to all of our athletes that competed at the North Island Secondary School Athletics Champs in Hamilton last weekend.

*** Thank you Petr for the summary below and photo ***

Our team of four girls – Kate Faitl, Daisy Ruthe, Mackenzie Hetherington, and Ava Bryant – represented our school with incredible resilience and fortitude at this highly competitive event. The competition was significantly tougher with a deeper field of runners at the Intermediate level and incredibly fast performances at the 1500m at the Junior level. Our girls showed some incredible determination, achieving three podium finishes and setting new personal bests (PBs) in their individual events. Each girl pushed herself to the limit, leaving it all out there on the track. They were truly remarkable!

Intermediate Girls

Kate – 3000m 10:19.52 PB (4th), 4:44.88 PB (7th)

Ava – 3000m 11:18.86 PB (11th)

Junior Girls

Daisy – 800m 2:23.10 Finals (3rd), Prelims 2:22.68 PB (2nd), 1500m 4:41.39 PB (2nd)

Mackenzie – 3000m 10:45.16 (2nd), 1500m 4:59.35 PB.
