Bay of Plenty MTB Champs – We Crushed It!

On Friday 16 & Saturday 17 May, our Ōtūmoetai College mountain bikers tore up the trails at the Bay of Plenty Secondary Schools MTB Champs held at the stunning Summerhill Mountainbike Park in Pāpāmoa!

Massive shoutout to everyone who represented the school with grit and determination – and a huge congrats to our podium legends!

Wildwater Junior and U23 World Championships

Paige has been selected to represent New Zealand at the Wildwater junior and u23 world championships in Slovenia in July. Paige will compete k1 in both the sprint and classic race divisions.  Good luck Paige!

NZ Junior Flag Football

Congratulations Levi Shepherd for making the NZ Junior Flag Football travelling squad to compete at the USA Football Junior International Cup in L.A. next month.

Tauranga City Tridents American Football Club

Levi Shepherd, who was the youngest member of our 2022 national championship youth team rounds out the Tridents contingent. In his fourth season with the club, he is comfortably our most capped youth athlete, with 41 games already played for the Tridents. This experience has really stood out this year, as a tall and reliable receiver, we’re unsurprised he caught the eye of the national selectors.
