Badminton

Badminton is growing rapidly at Ōtūmoetai College. Training starts in Term 2 for all students wanting to play Badminton.
Training and games sessions are available for students new to Badminton and students who are more competitive.
Training Sessions:
Cost – TBC (terms 2 & 3)
Venue – Old Gym at school
Wednesday – Junior & Senior casual training 3:30pm – 5:00pm
Friday – Junior & Senior competitive 5:00pm – 7:00pm
There is no local Secondary Schools competition in Badminton but there are a number of other events each year.

Junior Western BOP Qualifier: Friday 24th May
Senior Western BOP Qualifier: Wednesday 26th June
BOP Junior Finals: teams must qualify for this event at the WBOP Qualifier – Wednesday 7th August
BOP Senior Finals: teams must qualify for this event at the WBOP Qualifier – Wednesday 21st August
