In Term 1 and 2 students can compete at J.I Manihera Memorial Tournament at Kawerau and the BOPSS inter-college event plus the Eagles Tournament. To enter these competitions, students must have a club handicap.

The 2024 J.I Manihera Memorial Trophy Golf Championships are to be held in Kawerau on Tuesday May 21. Ōtūmoetai College will be entering a team and transporting in the school van.
