Sports News Roundup 13 October 2023

1st in the Points Race for Alex Rowlinson at the Skoda National Schools Road Champs 2023

In the Points Race Alex Rawlinson took 1st Place. She finished with 21 points, after winning 3 of the 5 sprints, and getting 2nd on the other 2, with 2nd place finishing with 11 points.

On her road race on Sunday, she was proud of how she raced, riding aggressively and attacking plenty of times off the front, however it didn’t really come together for her, and she ended up coming 6th. So, to take the win on Monday after a pretty disappointing result on Sunday, considering all the work she did to make something of the race, and as a Year 12 racing in U20s is really cool.

Amazing stuff Alex and a massive congratulations.
