Ōtūmoetai College Play Week

Last week our students performed in two different plays over four nights. Over 80 students were involved in the two projects from years 9-13.

Ms Pengelly directed the Junior play “The Cinderella Chronicles” and Mrs Rowe directed the Seniors in “Me, My Selfie & I.”

The process began in February when all performers took part in auditions and students have been participating in lunchtime, after school and weekend rehearsals ever since. In addition numerous students have been involved behind the scenes, creating props; lighting designs; working on wardrobe; manning F.O.H. and even stage managing the events. We had four virtually full audiences, who were very positive about their experiences.

What a great experience for all concerned.  Ka pai to all of our awesome students!

Additional Bus Services Announced

We have received confirmation from the Bay of Plenty Regional Council that an additional 907 PM service to the Lakes will be provided from the start of Term 3 (Monday 22 July 2024) to accommodate the high loads of students using this service.

The Regional Council have also confirmed there will be a new dedicated 905c AM and PM service that will be travelling between Ōtūmoetai College and the Ōtūmoetai/Bethlehem area. The route map for this service is yet to be published. Please refer to this website for information on this route when it becomes available.
