📍 Action Centre

Our Year 13 students are ready to take on the staff in this much-anticipated match — who will come out on top? 💥

Bring your mates, bring the energy, and get ready to cheer loud! 💪

Let’s pack the Action Centre and make it a game to remember!

The Maunga Games

The Maunga Games are competitive games played between our five Maunga’s.

One sport is played over two consecutive Monday lunchtimes in the Action Centre, round robin style, 3min games, with a point for the win and half a point for a tie. Congratulations to Ōtanewainuku for dominating our first sport – Netball.

We have a break next Monday for the Year 13 Students v Staff Volleyball game, then we are back into it with Futsal, then Basketball and finishing off the term with badminton.

All Star Alert

Massive congrats to Luca Henderson and Travis Playford for being named to the 17U Boys All Star 5 at the HoopNation Basketball Junior Showcase in Whanganui over the break! 💥🏀 You’ve made the court your stage — keep shining!

Empower Her – Dr Julia Casadio

Sport Bay of Plenty invites parents and athletes to an evening focused on supporting young women through their adolescent years in sport.

Delivered by Dr Julia Casadio, High Performance Sport Physiologist and applied researcher, the evening will unpack the physical and nutritional considerations for athletes navigating puberty and explore how changes in adolescence can influence a young female’s experience in sport.

With an emphasis on education and empowerment, Dr Casadio will share practical insights to help parents and athletes better understand the female body during this critical stage. The evening will reinforce the importance of putting health before performance, with the goal of keeping more girls active, confident, and engaged in sport for longer.
