Athletics
Athletics is becoming increasingly popular, the Sports Office encourages interested students to get involved in a local club as they have the required resources and are committed to providing opportunities for all age groups to enjoy the sport at a level that suits the individual.
At Ōtūmoetai College our PE Department runs the school athletics programme. Entry to further competitions is by invitation from the Sports Office and is determined by a 1, 2 or 3rd placing.
These further competitions are the Bay of Plenty / Midlands Athletics (BOPSS), Waikato Athletics (WaiBOP), North Island Athletics (NISS) and National Athletics (NZSS).
