Sports Code Badminton
Badminton is growing rapidly at Ōtūmoetai College. Training starts in Term 2 for all students wanting to play Badminton.
Training and games sessions are available for students new to Badminton and students who are more competitive.
Selection Process
Training Times
Junior & Senior casual training – Tuesday before-school and after-school, and Thursday after-school
Junior & Senior competitive – Wednesday after-school and Thursday before-school
Event Dates / Game Days
There is no local weekly Secondary Schools competition in Badminton but there are a number of other events each year.
BOPSS Junior Qualifiers – Thursday 7 May – QEYC
BOPSS Junior Finals – Wednesday 12 August – QEYC
BOPSS Senior Qualifiers and – Friday 5 June – QEYC
BOPSS Senior Finals – Wednesday 19 August – QEYC
Nationals – Winter Tournament Week – Porirua
