Ōtūmoetai College Shines at National Programming Contest for Girls

We are incredibly proud of our talented Year 10 girls who competed in the National Programming Contest for Girls on Tuesday, November 18th.

Two teams from Ōtūmoetai College entered the competition, demonstrating exceptional creativity and problem-solving skills:

  • Digital Divas (Neve Partner and Lara Poulton) were standout performers, securing second place in the Bay of Plenty region and an impressive 12th nationally among 100 teams across Aotearoa!
  • C & A (Chloe Gilmour & Abby Lavin) also excelled, placing 4th in the Bay of Plenty (out of 17 regional teams) and 26th nationally.

Both teams showcased excellent debugging and programming abilities.

Congratulations girls – Ōtūmoetai College is excited to see you continue to excel in the world of programming!
