Welcome Back to our Year 10 Project K Students

Over the past five weeks, eleven of our Year 10 students have had the incredible opportunity to participate in the Graham Dingle Foundation Project K initiative. We are thrilled to welcome them back to classes today following their three-week wilderness expedition run through Hillary Outdoors.

During this intensive journey, students stepped well outside their comfort zones to take on rock climbing, tramping, and planning their own overnight hut trips. Along the way, they forged strong connections, made lasting friendships, and challenged themselves physically, mentally, and emotionally.

A huge congratulations to the students involved:

  • Year 10 Boys: Jordan Masigan, Riico Angell, Toby Collins, Daniel Ryland, and Corrie Koekemoer.
  • Year 10 Girls: Kyla Foiakau, Alyssa Delicata, Jayda Shippey, Jade Inns Bates, Aurora Jackson, and Azahlea Skov.

Upon completing the wilderness experience, the students transitioned into a three-day Community Give Back Challenge. They generously volunteered their time alongside vital local support services, including Women’s Refuge, Waipuna Hospice, and Youth Voices.

The hard work is far from over! Over the next 12 months, these young leaders will work alongside dedicated trained adult mentors to further develop their confidence, resilience, self-management, and interpersonal skills. We are immensely proud of their dedication and courage!
