Sports News Roundup 1 April

Rowing

Fourteen of our students travelled to Lake Karapiro to compete in the North Island Secondary Schools Regatta. Unfortunately, due to covid, a few of our rowers missed out on the event but those that did go had a great time and were excited to race.

We had some great success at the event with Jenna Brangwynne finishing 3rd in the U17 Single Sculls A final and our U18 Novice Coxed Quad Sculls team also finished 3rd in the A final.

Our students are this week at the National Secondary Schools Maadi event and we wish them all the best of luck and look forward to publishing the results next week.

Golf

Imogen Otto, Tomas Andrew, Angus Colquhoun & William Dunn competed in the BOP Secondary Schools Golf Championship held in Whakatane recently. It was great they represented the college in this well run event.

This was a very organised event and our students did a fantastic job of representing our college.

Tennis

Two of our students competed in the BOP Secondary Schools Senior Tennis Championships on Friday 4th March in Papamoa.

Angus Walpole and Angus Colquhoun both competed in the boys division one singles.
