Bay of Plenty Secondary Schools Triathlon Championships

North Island Regatta Results

Great results from the North Island Regatta which took place last weekend at Lake Karapiro.

This is the first major school regatta of the season and a good warm up to the North Island Secondary School Regatta which will be held over the weekend of March 10th. This then leads onto the Maadi Cup which again is held at Lake Karapiro and takes place during summer tournament week.

Taylan Still and Ethan Kenworthy – Heat 2 placed 7th with a time of 9.23
Anahera Hawke and Emily Keith – Heat 3 placed 6th with a time of 9.50

Jett Lett and Arthur Crimmins – U15 Double – Heat 2 placed 2nd with a time of 7.57
A final placed 6th with a time of 7.52

Nina Turner and Sarah Laban-ten Dam – U18 Double – Heat 1 placed 3rd with a time of 7.58
A Final placed 4th at 8.02

Skyla Still, Kaylee Cattley, Elsa Alexander, and Asha Reid with Olivia Woods as cox
– U17 Coxed Quad – 
Heat 2 placed 2nd with a time of 7.46
A final placed 4th time at 7.45

Nina Turner – Single –  Heat 3 placed 3rd with a time of 9.07
B final placed 4th with a time of 9.58

U15 Coxed quad – 
Heat 4 placed 4th with a time of 8.05
A final placed 4th with a time of 8.34

Ōtūmoetai College Boys Cricket Team

Congratulations to the boys team who beat Papamoa College on Wednesday 1st March and are through to the next round of the Gillette Cup!

Ōtūmoetai College Girls Cricket Team

Our girls team after their win on Thursday 2nd against Tauranga Girls College. Standout performer was Mackenzie Grant (Year 11) with 50 runs! Well done team!
