NISS Beach Volleyball Championships
It was a picturesque day over at the Mount last Friday for the North Island Secondary Schools Beach Volleyball Championship. 22 students competed and our teams did extremely well.
Year 9 students Tiani Rae and Emma Searle finished 2nd.
Year 10 students Calum Stewart & Joel Beets finished 5th= after a very close 3 set quarterfinal loss.
Ella Douglas and Lucy Lloyd made it into the top eight play offs. After continuing to win (and having to play their quarter, semi, and finals all back to back) the girls finished with an outstanding win against Rangitoto 2-0 to take the North Island Secondary Schools Beach Volleyball Title.
The girls played amazingly throughout the tournament and had a great support crew throughout the play off games.
Lucy Lloyd and Ella Douglas.
