Sports Awards Evening 2018

The Sports Awards were held on the 30th October, it was our opportunity to celebrate the many sporting achievements of our students. "It was a joy to see so many athletes recognised during the evening.  I was struck by the humility of those students who represent New Zealand in their various codes and how they slotted seamlessly into the evening." - Russell Gordon

ASX Sharemarket Challenge Club

Throughout terms two and three, a small group of Otumoetai College students participated in the ASX Sharemarket Challenge. The Challenge involves syndicates of students using $50,000 of virtual money to invest into the sharemarket.

Students learn about the highs and lows of investing as they buy and sell shares and compete with students from all over the world.

The top three syndicates from Otumoetai College were Rachael Carter & Amelia Wards in first, Arnold Reuben in second and Jasmine Murray third. Congratulations to all those who participated.
