Hobbiton Trip

On Friday our students attended Day 6 of the International Student Activity Programme to Hobbiton for International students who have been here up to a year and are not doing NCEA exams.

There was no rain and so the students had many opportunities for photographs throughout the day.  They were all really good and enjoyed the day.  Thank you to Learning Journeys for looking after them!

Poutama Recruitment:  The year 9 class for 2020 is taking shape after several visits to Ōtūmoetai  Intermediate and liaising with whanau. The recruitment process and interviews for Poutama has been refined since 2018 and the process seems to be working well.

Māori and Pasifika Awards:  After months of planning, the Māori and Pasifika awards were held on the 30th of October. The night was a wonderful celebration for our students and was enjoyed by all.

Te Ra Rehia:  On Friday the 15th November, 38 students represented our kura at Te Ra Rehia in kapa haka. Our Year 11 students emceed the event at Ōtūmoetai Intermediate alongside senior students from Te Wharekura o Mauao. All schools within our Ōtūmoetai kahui ako participated and our students acquitted themselves with mana.
