Business Trip to Rotorua - L1

On Thursday 7th March, 70 Level 1 Business students and four teachers travelled to Rotorua to visit two tourist attractions, OGO and Skyline.

The purpose of the trip was to listen to the part owner and marketing manager respectively of each business, discuss how they market their business to their target markets. The students were able to ask questions to develop their understanding of marketing further.

On their return to the classroom, students will take what they have learnt from their trip in completing their Marketing Mix assessments. The students thoroughly enjoyed their time out of the classroom to experience two different businesses first hand, which included rides in an OGO and on the luge.

Hijirigaoka School Visit

Last week we had Hijirigaoka school visiting Otumoetai College for a week. During that week the students from Japan follow a Kiwi buddy to all of their classes.

Both the Japanese students and Kiwi students had a good time. We had a Sayonara party at the end to farewell the Japanese group. There was a bit of fun with some songs and dances and a couple of speeches.

THANK YOU TO THE KIWI BUDDIES! You were so kind and good to them and did so well.

And thank you to the parents of these students - it is because of you that your students are so good!
