A Day & Evening with Fozzie
It was wonderful to be able to host Ian Foster, All Black Coach, on the 23rd of July. Ian gave willingly of his time to our students for the betterment of Otumoetai College.
The highlights included:
- Our welcoming cultural group performed a truly spine-tingling Haka.
- Head Student, Rose Akkerman, led a question and answer session with Ian Foster and two hundred students.
- First XV training - our young men were captivated with Fozzie and engaged with several drills that were incredibly advantageous.
- Our fantastic evening held at the Tauranga Sports Rugby Club, with entertaining question & answer time, and the fundraising auction.
Special thanks goes to:
- Our Master of Ceremonies Pete Blackwell and Auctioneer Grant Child.
- Sponsors: Sean Lett from 2Wel, Mark Francis of Tremains. Jason Rowling (from Carmel Country Estate and Durham Court Motor Inn) and Paul Taylor from Classic Homes.
- Dean Waddell - Pak n Save Tauranga, Ian Foster, Sam Cane, Kane Williamson, Mount Maunganui Golf Course, Bryce Lawrence, Bay of Plenty Rugby Union & Aidan Ross, who kindly donated the auction items.
